CM&D was formed with the goal of establishing the first pan-European Specialty Pharma company focused on Foods for Special Medical Purposes (FSMPs). The company has acquired a range of marketed FSMPs and is developing novel FSMPs to treat a variety of medical conditions. These products benefit from being prescribable in the EU, and yet carry a much lower regulatory burden. This greatly reduces the time to market, regulatory and clinical trial requirements, and therefore the risk of failure to launch.
