- Andrew joined BioPacificVentures in 2004 after a 26 year career in commercial biotechnology. Following a research career he became the head of two agricultural research institutes in Australia in the 1990s. He then moved to New Zealand to the position of General Manager of product development and then of investment in New Zealand's largest research institute, AgResearch. Immediately prior to joining BioPacificVentures, Andrew was managing seed funds focussed on New Zealand biotechnology. This experience led directly to the founding of the BioPacificVentures fund, in concert with Direct Capital. His original training, including MSc and PhD, was in veterinary science.
