- Grant is recognized as one of the world's leading authority on the nutrition industry. He is founder and editor emeritus of Nutrition Business Journal, a business he ran from 1996-2007. NBJ serves the business intelligence needs of the supplement, functional food, natural & organic food and ingredient supply business. In 2007 he founded Nutrition Capital Network, an entity that connects investors and growth companies in the nutrition, health & wellness, natural & organic and green product industries. He has served as a lead consultant or principal advisor on proprietary consulting, research and strategy development assignments in the both the nutrition and environmental industries, in addition to acting as a third-party advisor in several M&A and financing transactions.
- Grant is also President and CEO of Environmental Business International Inc., a research and publishing firm he founded in 1988, and the publisher of Climate Change Business Journal and founding publisher of Environmental Business Journal a newsletter business he sold in 2007. Grant has represented nutrition and environmental industry interests in many government and business forums, testifying before the three Congressional Subcommittees and serving on advisory committees for the United Nations, OECD, the U.S. EPA and the U.S. Dept. of Commerce.
- Grant has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Conservation & Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Ferrier resides in San Diego with his wife and three children and is an accomplished gardener, beekeeper, cook, puppeteer, cartoonist, soccer player, golfer and Scottish dancer.
